What is the IIHS?

The IIHS is an independent group created by three insurance associations with the goal of reducing death and injuries from vehicle crashes. Today, the group conducts takes a scientific approach in conducting research to determine common causes of collisions and how to avoid them. Now considered the standard for safety, the IIHS releases its findings every year to the public.
