Get your complimentary picture with Santa from 10-3, then browse all the vendor booths and carnival rides. Pre-registration is required, with early seating already full, so get ahead of the crowd and reserve your seat for crafts, breakfast, and fun with Santa at the Community Activities Building. Kids 2 and under eat free! Register now for the 11am slot on December 10th to participate.

Chalk Full of Fun

Firework Sparkler and Mini American FlagWhether you’re an artist or just a fan of unique art, you’re sure to enjoy the Chalk Full of Fun event hosted by the Redwood City Parks & Arts Foundation. It returns this year for its 10th anniversary and there’s time to reserve your square if you’d like to participate. Be sure to sign up as soon as you can on their website! If you’re not an artist, then just make sure to head downtown to Courthouse Square or Hamilton Street on July 3rd and 4th to witness a ton of incredible, unique street art.

Arena at the Cupertino

If you’re a fan of live music, especially rock music, then you might enjoy seeing the band Arena play live at Cupertino’s Memorial Park from 10:30 to noon on July 4th. Cupertino is pretty close to Redwood City, so you won’t be put out too much if you want to go listen to the show then return for the rest of the festivities here in town, which we’re about to touch on.

Redwood City 4th of July

This incredible event has been going on since all the way back in 1939, and it continues to be one of if not the actually largest Independence Day parades in Northern California. The parade will kick off at 10:00 a.m. sharp, but there will be plenty of other activities to participate in, including breakfast before the parade, fireworks after dark, and all different organizations and artists putting stuff on display throughout the all-day festival. We simply cannot wait for the Redwood City 4th of July festival!
