Beneath the hood of the 2022 INFINITI QX55 rests the world’s very first mass-produced variable-compression engine, a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that’s capable of generating 268 horsepower alongside 280 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to this incredibly innovative new engine, the vehicle is able to fluidly transition between compression ratios of 14:1 and 8:1 depending on the type of driving you’re doing. Speaking of which, you’ll further be able to suit your car to your driving needs by utilizing the Drive Mode Selector, optimizing various parts of your vehicle based on four different modes, which include Standard, ECO, Sport and Personal.
